A general name for the numerous species of diurnal Lepidoptera. Diurnal insects typically having a slender body with knobbed antennae and broad colorful wings. They have broad wings, covered with minute overlapping scales, usually brightly colored.

Welcome and thank you for your interest in my photographs. I try to capture the essence of every subject as it actually exists. I rarely alter a picture and minimally, if at all, use post processing. What the observer sees is how it really existed. Most work is accomplished with attention to detail and in-camera composition and framing, rather than post production manipulation (such as Photoshop). I am basically self-taught and entitle my body of work "World Reflections" because I want to reflect the beauty of nature and the wonders that exist in the world.
