Black Skimmer on Beach Canvas Print

I was walking on the beach in Gulfport, Florida, and this bird landed among a large gathering of sea gulls. I had never seen a bird like this and when I got home I had to look it up to find out what it was.

Welcome and thank you for your interest in my photographs. I try to capture the essence of every subject as it actually exists. I rarely alter a picture and minimally, if at all, use post processing. What the observer sees is how it really existed. Most work is accomplished with attention to detail and in-camera composition and framing, rather than post production manipulation (such as Photoshop). I am basically self-taught and entitle my body of work "World Reflections" because I want to reflect the beauty of nature and the wonders that exist in the world.
