Artist's Description

This beautiful cardinal was perched on a shrub near my house.

Cardinals, in the family Cardinalidae, are passerine birds; they are also known as cardinal-grosbeaks and cardinal-buntings.

Cardinals, in the family Cardinalidae, are passerine birds found in North and South America. They are also known as cardinal-grosbeaks and cardinal-buntings.

the Cardinal is the official state bird of no fewer than seven eastern states. Abundant in the Southeast, it has been extending its range northward for decades, and it now brightens winter days with its color and its whistled song as far north as southeastern Canada. Feeders stocked with sunflower seeds may have aided its northward spread. West of the Great Plains, the Cardinal is mostly absent, but it is locally common in the desert Southwest. (Audubon)

About World Reflections By Sharon

World Reflections By Sharon

Welcome and thank you for your interest in my photographs. I try to capture the essence of every subject as it actually exists. I rarely alter a picture and minimally, if at all, use post processing. The "Abstract Lights" collection is my interpretation of light and shapes, with the focus on form and structure. If you see something in my gallery that interests you but prefer...
